Originally made from buckwheat flour or combination of buckwheat and wheat flour, making of this traditional pasta became tourist attraction in Japan. Soba noodles are most commonly served chilled with a dipping sauce or in hot broth as a noodle soup. Known to have a slightly nutty, earthy taste.
Ingredients:
Wheat flour 84%, buckwheat flour 15%, salt
The soba noodles are light brown in colour and have a nutty taste. You can serve them in soups, with sauces but they are also popular cold.
Preparation: drop into boiling water and cook for about 3 minutes. Rinse the cooked ones in cold water. When ready, add to your favourite dishes.
